Stop illegal hunting on Malta

Every year Maltese hunters shoot down migrating birds on their way from or to their breeding ground. This is really strange because in 2004 Malta joined the EU and by the EU bird directive hunting during migration is illegal.
Also the EU and other countries are trying really hard to preserve and protect endangered migrating species from becoming extinct. They do this so people in the future can see these birds and because there is a theory that when specie by specie all living creatures die, eventually we'll be one of those species.
So basically EU has rules about this and is putting time and money to prevent this from happening. All countries in the EU (and even in Africa) help and participate in following these rules.... But not Malta. They open Hunting season every spring so they can shoot down birds and after the shooting just leave the dead birds lying there.
